As sun sinks, the darkness swallows the earth slowing the down the activities of most of the living creatures, indicating that its time for us to sleep and give rest to our body. There are exceptions to it. Some animals gets activated with the fall of sun. One creature that comes to everyone mind is OWL. In most of the areas tigers start there hunting from dusk. Bats, Loris, Nigh jars, Leopard etc., are have adapted nocturnal lifestyle. There vision is good in the darkness. Some use ultra sounds to detect there food like Bats and some organisms like Pit vipers use heat sensitive infrared waves. Humans are naturally afraid of darkness. We depend on artificial light. Our eyes may find it difficult to see the things in nigh, but we can see them with cameras. To capture photos in the night what we need to do is to make camera blink its eye slowly. The means its shutter speed needs to be lowered. Finding proper place, framing the picture and proper base not to allow the shaking of camera are the few things that has to be kept in mind. Photos taken in the night have different beauty. Here I have uploaded some photos taken in night.

When shutter speed is less even a slightest shake will spoil the picture. The quality of this picture is so good that uou can zoom the clock tower in the top left corner of this picture to see the time of picture taken.

In night only still objects can captured better. In this picture some moving people look blurred.
The moving objects gets blurred when taken in slow shutter speed. But, sometimes this adds life to the picture. The movement of the river was capture because of the slow shutter speed, which otherwise looks like standing water.

Photo without flash gives naturalistic appearance to the picture. If you want to take photo of yours in night without flash, then you need to sit still. This photo was taken during working plan exercise in Kanasar, which was part of training in IGNFA. I sat still for 8 seconds, to take this pic.
A still from the Sitabani area of Ramnagar division in Uttarakhand. Slow shutter speed enables you to capture dim objects. Whereas the bright objects look even more brighter. Moon in this picture looks sun, because of slow shutter speed.
